Balance and effectiveness of research and innovation spending examined

The Science and Technology Committee session focuses on the views from universities on issues such as the balance between ‘quality-related' funding and project-based funding from research councils, and on the impact of R&D spending on the local area. The second panel will explore the regional balance of funding, including between the ‘golden triangle' and other parts of the UK.
