National Quantum Technologies Programme examined

The Science and Technology Committee takes evidence from two of the National Quantum Technology Programme Hubs, focusing on quantum imaging and quantum communications, as well as from other academics and representatives from the quantum technologies industry.
Purpose of the session
The session will focus on the next phase of the National Quantum Technologies Programme, and what is needed to support the UK's quantum industry going forward.Witnesses

Access to the building will be from the main entrance in Argyle Street. The evidence session will take place in area 6.
The session will be open to the public please book using our Eventbrite page as places are limited. However, admission will be granted on the day if spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis.
From 2.00 pm there will also be an opportunity for visitors to meet researchers and find out more about the emerging technologies that QuantIC, the UK Quantum Technology Hub in Quantum Enhanced Imaging, is developing through industrial collaboration. These include imaging systems that can detect gas leaks, see around corners, sensors that will open up new applications in biological imaging and an ultrasensitive gravimeter that has applications in oil prospecting and volcano monitoring.
