The Science and Technology Committee continues its inquiry on research integrity. This session examines issues including the statistical methods to detect problems with research integrity and the roles of publishers and charitable funders in identifying and responding to problems.

Purpose of the session
The first panel will explore the use of statistical methods to detect problems with research integrity, and the development of software that can check for image manipulation. The Committee will also hear more about how universities respond to problems with research integrity.
The second panel focuses on the roles of publishers and charitable funders in identifying and responding to problems, and in setting expectations or requirements on researchers.
