- National Audit Office: Implementing the UK's Exit from the European Union: Department for Transport
- Public Accounts Committee
The Committee Chair, Meg Hillier MP, comments:
"The Department for Transport faces a huge challenge in delivering its responsibilities as part of Brexit, with 18 new EU work streams alongside priorities such as rail franchising, Heathrow expansion and High Speed 2.
It is worrying that DfT paints a rosier picture to the Department for Exiting the European Union about progress on its EU work but internally acknowledges the risks to delivery.
DfT must be open about the challenges it faces as a department as it prepares for Brexit."
