Global Tax Transparency Summit
30 September 2016
On Friday 9 December 2016, the Public Accounts Committee will host a Global Tax Transparency Summit to bring together Parliamentarians from across the world to discuss the promotion of tax transparency and the prevention of tax avoidance.
This summit is intended to progress efforts on these issues and ensure Parliamentarians are working with Governments in order to continue to deliver on these objectives.
Following the release of the Panama Papers, revelations around multinational enterprise tax planning, rapid technological change and fiscal challenges for governments, the global summit aims to ensure Parliamentarians remain a vital scrutineer of tax compliance, whilst also helping revenue bodies to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and fairness of tax administration.
