Liaison Committee maps out themes for forthcoming PM session

Global issues, the economy and public services, and government’s ability to plan strategically are to feature in questions to the Prime Minister from select committee chairs

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak MP, is to be questioned by the Liaison Committee on Tuesday, 26 March from 1pm.

The Liaison Committee comprises all of the Chairs from Commons’ select committees. Fourteen Chairs are expected to take part on this occasion.

The Committee has mapped out topics for the session, which usually lasts 90 minutes. The order of questioning is determined on the day.

Scrutiny of strategic thinking in government:

Philip Dunne MP, Sir Bernard Jenkin MP, William Wragg MP

Economy and public services:

Harriett Baldwin MP, Clive Betts MP, Steve Brine MP, Liam Byrne MP, Stephen Crabb MP, Dame Diana Johnson MP, Sir Bob Neill MP, Robin Walker MP

Global issues:

Joanna Cherry MP, Sir Jeremy Quin MP, Cat Smith MP
