The Justice Committee explores proposed reforms to education and healthcare commissioning as part of its sub-inquiry into governor empowerment and prison performance, part of its ongoing inquiry into prison reform.

Proposed reforms to education and healthcare commissioning

This session focuses on the implications of the Government's proposals to give prison governors more power over commissioning education and healthcare services in their prisons.

The Committee will hear from witnesses involved in providing and commissioning education and other services, as well as healthcare. This will be an opportunity to explore their views on the proposed reforms.
