Permanent Secretary and Chief Financial Officer from Ministry of Justice questioned

The Justice Committee holds a one-off session to scrutinise the Ministry of Justice's 2017-18 Annual Report and Accounts.

Purpose of the session

The Permanent Secretary, as Accounting Officer, is accountable to Parliament for the Department's spending of public money. This session will enable the Committee to:

  • Take a view on the financial health of the Department overall
  • Consider the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of particular policies or programmes.
