Purpose of the session
The Permanent Secretary, as Accounting Officer, is accountable to Parliament for the Department's spending of public money. This session will enable the Committee to:
- Take a view on the financial health of the Department overall
- Consider the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of particular policies or programmes.
