Senior judges give evidence on increased court and tribunal fees

The Justice Select Committee holds its fourth evidence session in its inquiry into Courts and Tribunals Fees and Charges, focusing on fees in civil courts, family courts and tribunals.

Purpose of the session

The session covers increases introduced or proposed by the Government to the levels of fees for claimants in the civil courts, family courts and tribunals, including employment tribunals, with members of the senior judiciary being asked for their assessment of the effects of those increases on the operation of the courts and on access to justice.
