Justice Committee to question Minister on problems in the County Court and civil justice

The Justice Committee will question the Minister for Courts and Legal Services Sarah Sackman KC MP for the first time during the final evidence session in Parliament on Tuesday, 8 April of its inquiry into the Work of the County Court.

MPs on the cross-party committee chaired by Labour MP Andy Slaughter will discuss problems around delays, resourcing and capacity in the County Court, the digitisation and reform programme and possible solutions.
The Minister will be joined by senior officials from His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
