The Justice Committee will hear from the Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice in England and Wales, plus his deputy, during the first evidence session in Parliament on Tuesday 18 March of its new inquiry into the Work of the County Court.
MPs on the cross-party committee chaired by Labour MP Andy Slaughter will discuss the digitisation and reform programme, delays and problems within the County Court, as well as potential recommendations for change.
The Master of the Rolls is second in judicial importance to the Lady Chief Justice and is consulted on matters such as the civil justice system and rights of audience.
