Justice Committee to hear evidence on prison education

The Justice Committee will hear from education providers and experts during the second evidence session in Parliament on Tuesday 11 March of its inquiry into rehabilitation and resettlement: ending the cycle of reoffending.

MPs on the cross-party committee chaired by Labour MP Andy Slaughter will explore the issue of prison education, and what impact this has, does not have or could have on improving efforts towards rehabilitation.

During panel one the Committee will hear from education providers to understand their perspective of providing services. Panel two comprises education experts who will give their views on the prison education system, including what works well and the issues it is facing.
