Committee take evidence on The Coroner Service in England and Wales

The Justice Committee will hold an online live broadcast meeting at 2.30pm on 20 October 2020 on the Coroner Service in England and Wales.

This is the second evidence session of the inquiry; there will be a third session with the Chief Coroner and a Government Minister later in the year.

Purpose of the session

The first panel will cover how the Coroner Service deals with healthcare-related deaths and road deaths. The second panel will allow the Committee to gain a local authority perspective (local authorities are statutorily obliged to fund the Coroner Service).
